Romeo NZ Marketplace.
A safe, school-scoped marketplace where students, families, and teachers list, bid, and trade for real, on mobile and web, powered by the MT Whare engine and grounded in tikanga Māori.
A marketplace built for school whānau.
School-only marketplace
A closed marketplace where only verified members of the same school trade together. Students never see another school’s listings or data.
List & browse
List an item in a few taps, then browse with search, categories, a wishlist, and a recently-viewed rail to find what you need.
Bids & item-for-item trades
Place a cash-free bid or offer one of your own items as a swap. Sellers review every offer and accept the one they want.
On-campus handover
Meet-ups are scheduled into real school periods (before school, breaks, kai time, or after the bell) so trades happen safely, in person.
Private per-trade chat
Every accepted trade gets its own moderated thread with read receipts, so buyer and seller can sort the details without sharing personal contacts.
Reputation & trader levels
Two-way star reviews and gamified trader levels (Bronze to Platinum) reward good manaaki and build trust trade after trade.
Family accounts
Verified one-time-code linking lets a parent or caregiver take part safely alongside their student, with up to five family members per student.
Safety & moderation
Reporting, no-show disputes, blocking, bans with appeals, and an admin moderation console keep the marketplace a safe place to be.
Wherever your whānau are.
One marketplace, two front doors, with the same trades, listings, and reputation across both.
Native mobile app
iOS & Android, built with Expo and React Native: push notifications, secure sign-in, and the full trade flow in your pocket.
Responsive web app
A full feature-parity marketplace on the web, built with Next.js: every listing, bid, and handover, in the browser.
From bid to handover.
Five simple steps: fair, safe, and face to face.
